Print

ac_siteheader_10

The main symptoms of asbestos-related disease are:-

  Shortness of breath

The first symptoms are often ones of breathlessness, particularly on exertion, perhaps whilst going upstairs or walking energetically.· There can of course be many other causes for this.

•  Constant chest pain

People may experience pain in their chest, particularly linked with breathlessness.

•  Persistent coughing

•  Unexplained weight loss

•  Increased tiredness

•  Finger “clubbing”

This is where the ends of the fingers (and occasionally the toes) become slightly club shaped.· When associated with the other symptoms above, this can often be a sign of asbestosis.
